Modeling IPv 4 and IPv 6 Performance in Ethernet Networks

چکیده
282 Abstract—IPv4 address space will run out in the next two years. Therefore, it is necessary to deploy the new version of the Internet Protocol (IPv6) which dramatically expands the address space. One important issue for IPv6 to gain acceptance, is its end-to-end performance. For this reason, it is important to offer the Internet community some tools to compare IPv4 and IPv6 performance. In this paper, we present some models to evaluate the performance of IPv4 and IPv6. Our models can be used for any variant of Ethernet technologies (10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1000 Mbps). We start by presenting a model for the one-way delay in IPv4 and IPv6. We also develop an upper bound model for IPv4 and IPv6 throughput. To validate our models, we do some experiments and compare the experimental values with the values given by the models. From this research, we can conclude that IPv4 has a better performance than IPv6 (higher throughput), but the differences are small.

Objective(s): It is proposed that particulate antigens could better interact with the antigen presenting cells (APCs). A fast, simple and scalable process for preparation of polymeric nanoparticles (NPs) is coating of charged antigenic particles, like viruses, with oppositely charged polymers. A second coating with a charged polymer could increase the stability and modify the immunomodulatory ...

Background: Intimate-Partner Violence (IPV) is considered a disastrous social phenomenon. Apparently, women are more likely to suffer from the negative impacts of this problem. This study aimed to study and compare vulnerability to stress and coping strategies in women with and without IPV. Methods: This study was a descriptive and cross-sectional research. The study sample was recruited by co...
متن کاملSynergistic Effects of Depression and Poor Impulse Control on Physical Partner Violence; A National Longitudinal Study in United States
Background: Although major depressive disorder (MDD) also increases the risk of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) perpetration, poor mental health has been mostly conceptualized as a consequence of IPV victimization rather than a risk factor for IPV perpetration. Poor impulse control is another IPV risk factor. Building on a risk / risk framework, this study investigates additive and multiplicati...

Background: Intimate partner violence (IPV) and risky sexual behaviors are serious and overlapping public health problems that disproportionately affect drug-involved women. Despite the fact that drug-using women experience extensive IPV, to date, no studies have investigated the association of IPV and risky sexual behaviors among drug-using women in Iran. Methods : Drug-using ...
